The Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps has an established and unique Youth Corps. This group of young men and women below the age of 18, consists of 16 to 20 high school students, usually attending the local high school, Horace Greeley. These teenagers are all trained in CPR and basic first aid and after fulfilling certain other requirements are full riding members. On calls they serve as aiders to the EMT's and get first hand experience in emergency medical situations. Every Tuesday night the youth corps also does a complete inventory, re stocks and performs operation checks of the vehicles.

The application process is done annually starting in February for all those who will be 16 years of age or older by June of that year. To receive an application call the main number or come down to the building between 7 and 8 pm on a Tuesday night.

For a more comprehensive description of the program and requirements refer to the Youth Corps section of the by laws below.
